OUR DIFFERENCE - 11129NAT GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL ULTRASOUND
Ultrasound scanning requires an understanding of theoretical concepts in anatomy, pathophysiology and ultrasound physics coupled with practical skills in fine motor control, dealing with patients and participating in teams. Such an array of requirements is ideally taught holistically using spiral learning techniques, an innovative form of learning.
The content has been developed in consultation with some of the leading Australian sonographers and specialist medical practitioners to ensure that the subject material is relevant and practical.

I'm a current year two student from AIHE. I'm doing really well with the program and about to graduate next February. Speaking from my personal experience, AIHE has been supportive and looked after me during my whole placement. My second placement was delayed due to covid but I heard CQU is just the same. I don't understand where these reviews were from because pretty much all the students that I know are on placement right now. I believe if you work/study hard enough you will be rewarded and your hard work will be recognized. Post grad courses are not supposed to spoon feed you to study. Students needs to take more initiative, ask questions and practice on their own. |

As a successful graduate working as an accredited sonographer I highly recommend this diploma. I continue to benefit from mentoring and daily apply the practical and theoretical skills I learnt during the course. Jay P
I can only speak from my own experience, but I would like to warmly thank AIHE, for where I am today. Towards the end of my second year placement, I was offered a contract and have been working for one of Australia's largest radiology networks since. I am very much enjoying the job, and constantly learning something new every day. I would encourage students to be proactive at their placements- ask plenty of questions, be willing to learn from mistakes, and of course, ask to pick up that probe as much as you can. The experience is definitely what you make of it, and with hindsight, I am glad I trusted the process. |
