OUR POINT OF DIFFERENCE
AIHE was founded in 2012 , and moved to St Leonards in 2015. Our Founding Program in Ultrasound has been highly regarded in the Sonographer industry and is ASAR Accredited and Nationally Recognised. Students learn from academics with extensive experience in their fields. There are two options for practicum placements: 1. Students find their own. 2. Students wait for a placement with an AIHE partner clinic. The good thing? Our ultrasound students will graduate with experience to show on their resume as advantage to finding a job and many graduate with a job because they have personally shown the clinic they have done their placement with, great aptitude and positive approach if they work hard. (Note: this is NOT a traineeship and delays may occur with practical placements because of Covid, however we are working hard to ensure our students are supported with additional practice scanning to keep up their skills) AIHE recognise the need to support Allied Health and General Practice staff too and so created their short course space for those with limited time but need for up to date professional CPD. Many students return to us for these courses or just to say thank you. HEAR WHAT OUR 2020 STUDENTS SAY

I'm a current year two student from AIHE. I'm doing really well with the program and about to graduate next February. Speaking from my personal experience, AIHE has been supportive and looked after me during my whole placement. My second placement was delayed due to covid but I heard CQU is just the same. I don't understand where these reviews were from because pretty much all the students that I know is on placement right now. I believe if you work/study hard enough you will be rewarded and your hard work will be recognized. Post grad course is not supposed to spoon feed you to study. And I was fully aware of the condition that I needed to pay for my own accommodation and travel before the enrolment. Students needs to take more initiative, ask questions and practice on their own. Please stop misleading other people with negative reviews as they are not true from my perspective AIHE ensure we adhere to all COVID 19 restrictions and requirements for the safety of our students.

As a successful graduate working as an accredited sonographer I highly recommend this diploma. I continue to benefit from mentoring and daily apply the practical and theoretical skills I learnt during the course. -Jay P -
I can only speak from my own experience, but I would like to warmly thank AIHE, for where I am today. Towards the end of my second year placement, I was offered a contract and have been working for one of Australia's largest radiology networks since. I am very much enjoying the job, and constantly learning something new every day. I would encourage students to be proactive at their placements- ask plenty of questions, be willing to learn from mistakes, and of course, ask to pick up that probe as much as you can. The experience is definitely what you make of it, and with hindsight, I am glad I trusted the process. -Arun
Thanks a lot for your ongoing support through the program. It is always great to know that someone like you is there to support when needed. You have been great and my thanks to you can’t be expressed in words. |
