Ultrasound training at AIHE entered the realm of haptic simulation with the purchase of the Scantrainer system. ScanTrainer is recognized globally as one of the leading simulation systems for education in transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound. Initiated and developed by leading clinicians in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University Hospital of Wales, it is considered to be the most effective, self-directed simulation solution for realistic training in ultrasound.
Advanced Case study scanning and support by Academics
Students have access to more than five hundred cases and cloud based training videos in most aspects of ultrasound practice in a structured program for both theoretical and practical training. Of particular use is the feedback given to the student on conclusion of each scanning session performing the role of a tutor for out of hours use.
