Graduate Diploma of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound (General Discipline)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1.   Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging Science (Radiography or Nuclear Medicine). or
2.    Bachelor Degree in a non-imaging medical science (Health related) or
3.    Bachelor Degree in a non-health related science followed by a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance. or
4.    Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or higher level vocational certificate in the field of Medical Imaging. or
5.    Relevant work experience and the potential to undertake work at this level. Applicants must be registered to practise with the ASAR.

In addition to the academic entry requirements applicants need to submit the following:

  1. - USI number _See information below
  2. - HLTAID003 Provide First Aid or equivalent (certified) (You can do this course through AIHE if need)
  3. - Valid working with children check, police check and current immunization for a healthcare worker (certified) https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check 
  4. - A current curriculum vitae showing all qualifications, work experience, and two referees

  6. - A one page essay titled "My motivation to become a sonographer is..." 
  7. IELTS Academic level 7.0 (certified)- If your Undergraduate qualification is from a non-English speaking country you will also need to provide evidence of a minimum IELTS Academic level 7.0 (certified)

FEES
Fees for the Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound are $42,000 for the course plus $2000 for uniform, textbooks and administration.
VSL
Students may be paid through our debt program or VSL or students may choose to borrow their fees from a bank, credit union or other.
